Welcome to Homes for Huffles!

Huffles are here, and they need our help.

Since their unexpected arrival in 2009, Huffles have struggled to find their place in a world that—quite frankly—doesn’t always believe they exist. Unnoticed by the untrained eye and deeply emotional by nature, these adorable little creatures experience the full spectrum of joy and sorrow in ways most humans can scarcely imagine. A single frown can result in a “rolling around the room” theatrical tantrum, while a warm hug, or even just a nod of approval,can make their day (or entire week).

HOMES FOR HUFFLES

Run by The Helping Hand, an international association of dedicated Huffle handlers overseen by the Huffle Re-housing and Unhappiness Management Foundation (HRUMF) part of the Department of Extraterrestrial Research and Proliferation (DERP). Our mission is simple: to improve the lives of Huffles across the globe through education, community outreach, and—most importantly—safe and stable re-homing initiatives. Many Huffles, are unable to integrate into human society, risk becoming inflated—a distressing state of extreme puffiness often caused by prolonged sadness due to an inability to console others or communicate emotions. The sadder a Huffle becomes the more it inflates until eventually it lifts off the ground becoming a liability and considerable burden to its community. Fully inflated Huffles have been known to catch on power line and antenna, block traffic, get lodged inside machinery, the list goes on and on.* Huffle inflation, amongst a myriad of other occurrences, is one of the reasons why early intervention is critical.

Through our sponsorship program, we pair at-risk Huffles with compassionate humans, offering them the stability and companionship they so desperately crave. Studies show that forming a bond with a Huffle not only improves the Huffles well-being, while reducing inflation, it also helps decrease human stress and anxiety. It’s a win-win for everyone!
